Geeks, Guitars and Guinness

Let me start off by saying that RUSH not being in the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME is just plain WRONG and they should be among the nominees for year 2005!!! Every year I listen to the nominees and every year I am disappointed that they have been overlooked AGAIN!!! I was first introduced to RUSH's music when I was about 8 yrs old through my older brother. The first time I heard "EXIT STAGE LEFT" (live album) tracks "BROONS BANE/THE TREES/XANADU" it totally changed the way I listened to music. I knew then (even at the age of 8) that this was a special band and that it was obvious how much hard work and HOW MUCH TALENT went into every album. Most passive listeners of their music only know their popular songs "TOM SAWYER, LIMELIGHT, SPIRIT OF THE RADIO" etc. but there is a whole other world of their music that people are missing (e.g. albums: A FAREWELL TO KINGS, CARESS OF STEEL, MOVING PICTURES). The Album "2112" alone justifies them being the ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME. I sincerely hope that when I hear the nominees next year (2005) RUSH will be among them as they belong there should have been for quite some time.

I agree with you Christie Ann (cool name by the way!) RUSH definetly does deserve to be in there,as well as many other acts that are getting older as I type this! Personally,they need to drop this stupid vote-in nonsense and just pick people at random! (That have earned it of course.)

I agree!! Not only does RUSH deserve it but every act that's so obviously worthy of it who at this moment are getting older and older! You got my vote Christie Ann (cool name by the way!)
